Staff Picks: NYLI鈥檚 Super Superseded Collection
by Brooke Raymond
I鈥檝e been at 麻豆精品since June 2022 and am still continually amazed at the breadth of its collection. It鈥檚 been hard to pick a favorite 鈥 our print, eBooks, , LLMC, ProQuest Congressional and all the standard databases 鈥 are all essential resources for legal research.
As a result, I鈥檝e been a little delayed in completing my own 鈥渟taff pick鈥.
But after quite a bit of thought (and a little procrastination), I鈥檇 have to say that NYLI鈥檚 superseded treatise collection impress me the most.
Consider Moore鈥檚 Federal Practice: And, when cases cite an older edition of Moore鈥檚 鈥 or if a lawyer needs to prove the continuity of a legal principle- it鈥檚 good to know that
Moore鈥檚 younger sibling, covers the rules of Civil, Criminal and appellate procedure 鈥 as well as evidence rules, judicial systems and personal jurisdiction. And, yes, 麻豆精品has the first and all superseded versions. Need to know about Rule 23 and Antitrust and Securities Fraud Actions as it existed in 1971? Yes, 麻豆精品has that!
Collier鈥檚 on Bankruptcy, Restatements, Uniform Laws Annotated, Scott on Trusts, and Supreme Court Practice are just some of the titles from our superseded collection.
And, we have superseded editions (going back to the 1780s!) of all 50 State Laws.
Again, I鈥檓 back to where I started 鈥 not picking ONE favorite, but an entire collection that takes up a football field sized area of shelves!聽聽 To explore more of NYLI, click here for our catalogue and here for how to become a member.
